MISSION
About the Town Productions is a professional, nonprofit (501C3) artistic company created to produce original, family-friendly theatre works and live experiences in partnership with existing companies and/or venues.

About the Town Productions is committed to anti-oppressive and anti-racism practices in the theatre. We are dedicated to creating a safe environment that promotes diversity, inclusivity and equity among its artists, staff and patrons.

Wally Nason is the Artistic/Managing Director of About The Town Productions. Since 2009, he has been the most prolific composer of performed musicals in America.

His 22 original musicals have played in front of over a million thrilled audience members and maybe even a few ‘not so thrilled’ ones around the Eastern United States. He has also served as the director of each of their openings.
From community theatres to state-of-the-art performance venues –
From high school auditoriums to over 800 movie theaters –

His name is synonymous with family friendly works that encourage and inspire ticket holders of all ages. You can see his work, ‘THE CONFESSION MUSICAL’, featuring John Schneider (Bo Duke) and number 1 selling female comedian in the world, Chonda Pierce, on Amazon Prime. His newest musical ‘THE NATIONAL ANTHEM MUSICAL’ is currently playing at venues in Illinois and Tennessee.
